I believe that education and learning is a lifelong commitment. I aim to instill in my students a love of learning through curiosity and guided exploration. Children come to the classroom with an innate curiosity and as an educator I believe it is my responsibility to foster that desire, introduce them to new ideas and concepts, and provide them with the tools and knowledge they will need to continue their lifelong path of learning.
I spent the 2013/14 school year interning through UVEI and now work full time in a mixed age classroom. This year I'm working with 3-6 year olds (preschool/pre-k/k), and last year I worked with kindergarteners and 5th graders. Each age presents unique and interesting challenges. There are so many things to learn about the profession and the students. I enjoy each day making an impact on my own education and that of the students in my class.
